Børge Mogensen’s famous J52B chair was not surprisingly one of the first design classics that FDB Furniture chose to relance in the new era. Børge Mogensen is one of the most famous figures in Danish furniture design and he has created one of FDB Møller’s most iconic chairs: J52B.
The chair was also sold to the United States, where it became known as President Kennedy’s favorite slap-off chair. Apart from being a design classic is also a really comfortable chair that can be used as a dining chair as well free standing furniture or as a chair to relax in – as Kennedy apparently did.
Børge Mogensen is today one of the most famous Danish furniture designers, but he was just a young, forward-looking talent when he was 28 years old as FDB Møblers first furniture architect. When he started, eight years later his own drawing room, he had already laid the foundation stone for the golden age of Danish furniture architects.

The seat of the J52B is molded beech. Legs and chassis are massive beech. The Used wood is FSC certified from European forests.
Since wood is a natural material, shade differences can occur, even on the individual furniture.
In 2013, the chair was adapted and adjusted to the current size seating comfort.
