When we invited Miguel Milá to adapt his iconic TMM lamp for table use, he swapped wood for metal to lighten the design and replaced the cross-shaped base with a circular one—more discreet in the always-crowded workspace. He preserved, however, the ingenious system of a simple rubber ring to hold the shade at the desired height, as well as the distinctive gesture of turning it on and off with a gentle tug of the cord. A metal washer on the stem gathers and guides the cord, integrating it seamlessly into the whole. And its elegant white parchment shade, which freely rotates around its axis, allows its warm light to gracefully adapt to its surroundings.
