ND-20-CU Chill was designed by Nanna Ditzel. The beautiful lounge chair with a footstool – Chill, was designed in late summer 1961. It was the first piece of furniture Nanna Ditzel designed after her husband Jørgen Ditzen's death in April 1961. The armchair is made of Indonesian sustainable rattan. The chair is made in the colour nature, which is original and suitable for every occasion. The seat and back are braided on a frame of rattan by skilled wicker workers. The Chill rattanchair is a low armrest chair without armrests. This chair fits into a home with plenty of space. The Chill lounge chair is well placed by at the fireplace or in the conservatory. The chair is strong, comfortable and suitable for use privately. The Chill chair was originally named Firechair, because of its sculptural installation that in a nearly liquid way integrates the furniture with the body and with the surroundings. It was originally used in collaboration with Robert W.. The pioneer of rattan production in Denmark and characterized by exceptional craftsmanship, as well as innovative ideas and use of materials. The lounge chair is designed for indoor use, but Nanna Ditzel herself used it on the terrace of her summer house. The furniture combines an organic language with modern minimalistic features, that appeals to indulgence whether indoors or outdoors. Chill is a design that was considered quite unconventional at the time but fits perfectly in a modern home today.
