A rare collaborative effort by the greatest duo in 1950s Swedish furniture design, Caryngo—a name derived from those of its two creators, Carl Malmsten and Yngve Ekström—was manufactured by the latter’s company. Indeed, while Malmsten initiated the design, Ekström was in charge of overseeing the detailing, and the initial versions were called “Model Yngve”.
